i have fourteen years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, mostly clean water action and greenpeace but also a nonviolence group and the association of nonprofit retirement homes. i used to do a lot of volunteer work, mostly for men can stop rape and compassion over killing.
i attended montgomery community college where i studied information technology and ran track and cross-country. i also went to st. mary’s college of maryland where i studied public policy and started a track club (they didn’t have a team) and a footbag (hackey sack) club.
i started dj-ing at house parties in 1997. a few friends and i started a dj crew called FunkDC in 2002 to throw parties in bars/lounges/clubs and we then started a record label, True Grooves, a couple years later.
i enjoy music, vegetarian food, yoga, running, reading and am learning how to surf.
in the summer of 2007, i saved up money to travel/live abroad, learn spanish and improve my physical health.
